Energy Derived is dedicated to the development of energy efficient algae production systems for the creation of algae-based biofuels. The Energy Derived team has developed a breakthrough solar technology that will help to revolutionize the production of algae based biofuels as the alternative to petroleum based products.
The Solimer process, a unique patent pending technology from Energy Derived, allows a higher volume of product throughput to occur based on a smaller footprint than traditional solar technologies. Through this advantage, the ADS systems can process large volumes of algae feedstock on a comparatively small area of real estate. This breakthrough will allow algae farmers and commercial growers the ability to quickly process algae feedstock at a fraction of the processing costs associated with traditional grid-based systems. The ADS systems offer a scalable product solution to support various sizes of algae production facilities.

The Solimer Process The Solimer process developed by Energy Derived is a unique patent pending technology that provides a monumental breakthrough in the processing of algae feedstock. The Solimer process is specifically designed to provide energy efficient processing of algae feedstock at less than of 90% of the energy required by traditional processing. This provides a significant cost savings over time and provides an efficient method of algae feedstock processing on any scale. Through the use of the Solimer processing technology, algae processing can occur efficiently at high volumes and can typically yield an annual product volume in excess of 30 gallons of algae oil per solar square foot.
The ADS Systems The ADS systems offer a scalable product solution to support various sizes of algae production facilities. The patent pending technology from Energy Derived allows a higher volume of product throughput to occur based on a smaller footprint than traditional solar technologies.
ADS-80 The ADS-80 is the initial product deployment from Energy Derived. Designed as a portable algae drying system, the ADS-80 is the perfect tool for research and development. The ADS-80 s compact and portable design is intended to support the early stages of algae biofuel research projects and provides the capability to produce up to 80,000 liters of algae feedstock per year with an effective solar foot print of only 280 ft2. The ADS-80 is the perfect starter system for universities, colleges, small-scale start-up R&D operations and backyard algae farmers who want to achieve market entry at a reasonable cost.
ADS-240 The ADS-240 is the second generation product offered by ED. Designed as the first step towards commercialization the ADS-240 is perfect for large scale research projects. With a designed capacity of 240,000 liters of algae feedstock, the ADS-240 is the perfect system for up-scale operations and early commercial-scale production facilities. The ADS-240 is a stationary unit that comes with the ability to provide integrated usage of space for other commercial production processes in the conversion of algae feedstock.
ADS-1500 The ADS-1500 system is a commercial production system from Energy Derived. The ADS-1500 is intended for commercial-scale algae farming and fuel production. The ADS-1500 has an intended capacity of 100K gallons of algae oil per year with an effective solar footprint of less than 3500 ft2. The ADS-1500 provides the most flexible solution to the commercialization of algae production and can be scaled to accommodate nearly any quantity of algae feedstock.
The ADS Product line, All of the ADS systems have the flexibility to be configured and designed according to the customer s needs and specifications. With the ability to be adapted to many configurations, the ADS product family offers the ability to provide production capabilities for algae production operations of any size. The ED team will provide startup assistance, training, maintenance and services for all systems. ED will also provide system design and consulting for commercial application and installation assistance at customer request. |
